A member of the aroid family, Araceae. ZZs are native to Zanzibar, Kenya, and Eastern Africa. These plants prefer bright, indirect light but are tolerant of low light conditions (perfect for a Baltimore rowhome!) They have super thick roots, stems, and leaves which make them extremely drought tolerant. Water when the soil has completely dried out!
Mildly toxic to pets; ingestion will cause vomiting, mouth and stomach irritation.
