Episcia cupreata is a genus of flowering plants in the African violet family, Gesneriaceae. It native to the tropical regions of Central and South America. These plants normally thrive in the shade of other vegetation, so a medium to bright indirect light setting would be perfect! Be sure to provide LOTS of humidity, low humidity settings will stunt growth and flower opening. When watering, be sure to NOT get water on the leaves (bottom watering is best), keep soil moist but not soggy, and only water with distilled, rain, or filtered water. 100% non-toxic and pet safe!
